Not only did i not enjoy the games at full ring at all, it was a lot less profitable.

Since the last post I have only played a few k hands, i was too mentally exhausted to carry on, and finish competitively in the race, and tbh i was up enough all together than an extra $2k in race money wasnt too much to pass up. I had the bonus figures wrong in some previous posts, more than i thought.

A good month on the tables in the end, total figures are:

Im very happy with the month :) I grinded hard, 125k or so hands in the end which was a lot considering my previous months exploits!

Ill do a few more posts in a few days looking back at some hands and some of my stats, more interesting i suppose than just figure updates!

In terms of plans for the future, im going to take 15 days off now and have some fun with my life! Its nice being able to relax, it really is!

After that im going to hit the tables again for a 14 day long grind and another 100k hands, if I have another good month at 2/4 6 max then in May i will be definitely playing 5/10

Im probably on course to win $250 000 this year rather than 500 000 as I targeted but still a long way to go, if i move up then it is definitely possible!

Had such a sweet day today, couldnt lose a flip or miss a draw. Feels good :)

£17 810 up so far this month, not including my race payment coming soon, its been such a sick hard grind, over 120k hands already but so worth it for the money.

Poker is full of highs and lows, im on a great high atm after the day ive had, my 3rd best ever.

Why did I ever leave 6 max? Update

Those are the results from hands ive played in the last few days on 6 max, having much much better results. The volume of hands is smaller because Ive been away for a few days seeing my girlfriend in london so could only sneak in a few k hands here and there. Im back home today though and i have grind on the mind.

Been a good few days on the tables though, but ive dropped to the $5 000 position in the race :( Although im sure there is an error with the leaderboard atm, I was in the 6k pos and miles ahead of next, anyway:

$15k banked so far this month so its looking good so far, only half way through.

Update- 8 days done, full ring is awful and went back to some 6 max

Well its been a long 8 days so far with plenty of ups and downs

Ive played a lot of full ring and to tell you the truth I hate it, I wanted to play it this month because its easy to 16 table, I can auto pilot at times and watch movies and tv which makes the grind less boring, however it does get real tiresome being scared when your KK gets 3 bet.

72k hands and $3.3k profit, thats just not on, luckily im earning a lot in bonuses and race pts so its still pretty nice tbh a good wage no doubt , had enough today after the swing at the end you can see and played just 6 max from 3pm onwards and had the following results:

lol well I am primarily a 6 max player, but the variance is very sick sometimes plus its very tiring, harder to 16 table, i stuck to 12 tables but its tiring and towards the end of sessions I make mistakes. Stopped for the day on a $1.5k downswing but still I cant argue with the day

The top 3 are limit players and rake too much for me to compete with. Im in a healthy 4th position atm but lets see what happens, long way to go yet.

Update

10th: -$762

Pretty tormenting day, an unreal amount of hands, a record for me actually but running so bad on the tables. Finished -$762. Was up $2k then down a lot, then even, went through the emotions!

PLaying 16 tables of full ring so im never gonna have a high win rate, and it is a very long grind. In January i made $15k from 45k hands but its not gonna be the same this month. I couldnt motivate myself, didnt play in February and i needed to do a big grind like this, as ive said before i just want my $20 000+ and i dont mind working hard for it. With 6 max there is a lot of variance, doing this with the bonuses makes the variance a lot smaller and i know if i put the time in i get good rewards. Ill be back to the easy street 6 max in future months, just want a big solid month like this behind me.

Having said that...

Which was more like it, I still feel like im running bad though, KK vs AA twice and AA vs KK lost, im not crying about it, I just think it shows I can make more in the future days.

Fell to 4th today but it hasnt been completely updated and i think id be in 3rd now, its gonna be an interesting race from 2nd-5th and i dont expect to stop at any point, should be a good battle!

Im very much on course for a $25k+ month but im gonna have to work for it, anyone who thinks i sit on my ass all day doing nothing (which is true most of the time but not this month!) this is insane work, 15 hr days non stop 16 tableing, highs and lows, its mentally exhuasting but so worth it at the end.

Grind underway

I played the first day of this 21 grindathon and actually put 15 000 hands in, im sooo tired, i played from 12-4am 16 hrs straight with three 5 minute breaks, so i hope you understand im too tired to dig out stats.

At the end of the 3rd day ill post an update, so far im a little down but running really bad in ev, i went from 2k up to 1k down back to even to 500 down, ill post all the graphs,stats in 3 days for a nice update.

Im 2nd in the rake race for a $14 000 spot and i also earned around $800 in bonuses.

I want the $14k spot plus $12k bonuses, so $26k plus table money, its actually worth the effort in the end! And it is real mental effort!

I cant wait for the big grind

Im really looking forward to starting a big grind again, like i used too, ive not done it since November and im raring to go again.

The plan is to start from the 10th-31st

This is because my sites rake race starts on the 10th and this is a big motivation to play.

If I play more than anyone else there is $18 000 in bonuses for the winner and $15 000 for 2nd etc... im aiming to get at least $10 000 from the race plus another $12 000 or so in vip bonuses that every site pretty much does.

So basically $22 000 in bonuses if I just grind super mega hardcore which means 12-15 hr days for 3 weeks of non stop 16 tableing, that + whatever I win on the tables.

200 000 hands+ is the target

This is like the old goat, ive done this quite a few times and its a great way to keep yourself playing and building a roll.

Also to mix it up now as ive been playing 6 max for quite a few months now, im going to start on full ring and 8 seater tables, its easier to 16 table with these plus ive been playing loads of 6 max and its nice to change it around a bit. I could prob go back to it after a few weeks, but i dont mind full ring.

Ill be playing 3/6 and 2/4 mainly and 1/2 if there arent enough higher full ring tables which sometimes there arent.

So anyway this blog will be updated every day during this race/grind and there should be lots of ups and downs along the way as usual.
