New plans for Vegas and Poker

Its been back and forth lately about Vegas, one minute we were going to go in 3 months, then 2 weeks, then 1 month, then back and forth. Because there are 3 of us and possibly a 4th going. Me, Jamsym and iRollDeep (brett) the possibilty being DangerWeed (ste) its difficult to sort out when is best for us all, but now I think things are final

Plans are:

March 18th. This is going to be booked soon enough so its an absolute certainty.

The reasons for this put back are, February the 3 of us have decided to get our grind on and go sick for the month, and boost are $$ to take to Vegas, this is big for Jamsym as he is currentley on around $8kish and could easily have $30k by March, with iRollDeep he just needs to run good for once in his life and get a nice roll together.

Theres enough time there for them to do that.

Personally for me, Im going for a big big month, i promise this time! Ipoker is having a $400 000 rake race and my own site is having a rake race on top of that so big big bonuses to be won + what i win at the tables.

Possibly a $75 000 month if I run well :)

Decided to quit for the month, im not in the right frame of mind to grind this one out, £10 000 is enough. Only played 11 days and 45 hours, very lazy month for my standards. Ill always kick myself for opportunity cost, if i work hard one month I can get past the £25 000 mark at 2/4. Anyway I cant carry on now for some reason I just am not in the right frame of mind to play, maybe i need a change of scenery. If I managed to hit 120 000 hands then I would get a more awesome bonus and a load more form the rake race.

Anyway onto my next point, Vegas next month :) Decided to go vegas real soon, like 3 weeks from now just for something to do, its gonna be awesome and its a must do, decided to bring it forward a few months, grind the live games and have a sick sweet time. Ill take my lappy, sort some online playing on an american site as well. More details to follow anyways.

Bad day today, went out town for a while and played after a few drinks, just shows how unmotivated I am at the moment. Ran pretty bad and its just variance striking as usual! Oh well.

Well I took Friday and Saturday off, went out and stuff and thought id get back on it with a fewk hands tonight. Finished +$2213 which im obv really happy about but I didnt play great again, I just ran well, need to make a few tweaks and changes in my game. Graph of today above.

Not decided yet how many hands im going to do for the month, i really wanted 120k at least, will have to grind some to get to that amount!

First losing day

First losing day out of 8, and as you can see that graph sucks, im in a strange place mentally, I played terribly and I dont know i played pretty not too well the few days before but managed to grind out some profit. Ive had a great month so far though so I have no need to complain. Im completely used to the variance and swings of the game, im more concerned with how im playing than anything. This day was inevitable, I was running well and was lucky not to have a losing day so far. But like i said mentally when im playing I dont feel right, im making a few mistakes the past few days which i was not making in my first lot of sessions. Maybe a few days off would do me good, get back fresh and on top, still an awesome 8 days at the tables though so god knows why im complaning about anything! Maybe the weekend off and come back fresher!

Played 3.4k hands today, not really enthusiastic about playing more, stats above of today. Another sick end to the session, I should probably stop finishing on a downer all the time! Passed the £10 000 mark for the month :)

Well not that good +$800 and another day out of the way, horrible end to the day, I got 1 outered for a $1k pot and then 5 outered with 1 card to come for an $800 pot, gay, the graphs above are of today, and then a picture of overall this month.

Your Goat Is On Fire

Im still a bit lazy, 4.5k hands today and Im not reaching my 6k a day target again, im going to have to make up for this.

Results still awesome at the moment + $2 518 Picture of the stats above, ended on a bum note actually, as I was $3 400 up 15 mins before the end of the 3rd session, feel pretty bad actually for what was a good day, never happy eh. Well yeah i am happy.

11th Jan- +$1440

5k hands today, it was all I could manage, im aiming for 6k a day now, down from 10k but still a good amount, should make 120k hands for the month.

Had a frustrating day most of the time, right until the end :) the last hurdle I managed to pull a break even day into another $1k+ day so all is still goot.

Another day down, got a graph of todays work, biggest hand volume yet, 7k hands and im mega tired actually, 10k hand days might be beyone me right now but maybe ill bang a few in. Bit of an annoying day to be honest, finshed $2k less than my peak after a good start, but cant complain too much.

Also got a picture of every session ive played so far which could be interesting to look at. Not happy with my latest one, stats a lot different than the others and im not too suprised because I was really tired, gotta make sure I dont play tired, i just raise less!

Also as the title of the post, so far im on £300 ($451) per hour in January :) I wish that would last!

I managed to do 4.4k hands today, struggling atm to find the energy to get them 10k hand days I keep talking about and maybe I wont rake race as hard, I dont want it to have an adverse effect on how im doing at the tables, if im tired i should just stop rather than fight through the pain.

Anyway +$1 572 today, roughly another £1000 to the total, so things are still pretty sweet this month, picture of the graph above.

Another nice day today, just the 3000 hands, 12-14 tableing for about 3hrs and that was enough for me! Profit was $1952, so basically another $2k so:

As I said earlier from the 10th onwards im hammering home the 10 000 hand days!

Update- 4k hands 4k profits

Well ive been very lazy so far, only 4.4k hands in the 2 days since ive started, 1.4 on the 6th and 3k today. Fortunately though my results have been pretty good.

+$4.3k so far and im running pretty well, always nice to have a sweet start. Ill pick up my hand volume from the 10th onwards, thats when the rake race starts and its a good time to put some hands in, probably pick up $12 000+ in bonuses this month if i play 150k+ hands, always motivating.

TARGETS/PLANS 2009

Im about to get started for 2009 very soon after over a month worth of breaktime, its time to get that grind energy back for a good few months, basically my targets for the year are as follows.

Make £500 000+

I have one big target each year, in 2007 it was get my own apartment by the start of the next year, I managed it, then it was make £100k+ and I managed it but this is by far the hardest goal ive set myself. Im gonna need to be playing a lot higher regularly and/or make a few big scores to be able to reach that. I have other/side income now which ill put towards that figure, but poker should account for £400k+ of that if I ever make it.

My plans for the year are as follows

January/february- Grind super hard, starting with 2/4 as usual and if at any point I feel like taking a higher shot take it, for now ill be concentrating on 2.4 though and I want 400 000 hands over these two months, which is similar to the amount a lot of grinders do in a year, but I know I have the ethic and the ability to mass multi table in me.

After this I want to see where im at and start taking a few holidays, Tokyo is a must for me, its my number one place to be for the year, not least the japanese women are a factor. My roomy iRollDeep shares the same fetish so im guessing thats where we're headed around March time.

Come April the plan is for me, iRollDeep and Jamsym (going to link to his blog soon) to hit Vegas, ill also bring a few other friends for the first few weeks but us 3 want to stay as long as we can really. See how we do in the live games over there, hopefully ill be playing the $5/10+ games but depends where we all are bankroll wise. If im winning at a good rate that makes it worth staying I could stay for up to 3 months and I think thats gonna be pretty sweet, over the wsop as well and im defo entering some of them events.

We were supposed to go a few months earlier just for two weeks, but certain things come up and we never ended up going, so decided its best to wait for now, let us all grind hardcore for few months to put us in better shape for the trip.

After Vegas, and because I have no idea how ill do or how long ill be there I have no plans, let the year and my bankroll just take its course. Ill still play online in Vegas, just bring my lappy.

Vegas is just an idea for us to have an awesome time and grind out some poker months whilst were there, if im not making enough $$ that its holding me back with opportunity cost, I will cut it short. I can only see myself back playing online when I get back though for the remaining months of the year. Ive never stayed over a year at any level so hopefully im up somewhere near 200/400 by the end of the year and not 2c/4c :)

For now though, the next two months are grind grind grind online and ill be keeping regular updates. I will start on Monday the 5th and aim for 150k hands at least this month. gogogogogo
