TARGETS/PLANS 2009

Im about to get started for 2009 very soon after over a month worth of breaktime, its time to get that grind energy back for a good few months, basically my targets for the year are as follows.

Make £500 000+

I have one big target each year, in 2007 it was get my own apartment by the start of the next year, I managed it, then it was make £100k+ and I managed it but this is by far the hardest goal ive set myself. Im gonna need to be playing a lot higher regularly and/or make a few big scores to be able to reach that. I have other/side income now which ill put towards that figure, but poker should account for £400k+ of that if I ever make it.

My plans for the year are as follows

January/february- Grind super hard, starting with 2/4 as usual and if at any point I feel like taking a higher shot take it, for now ill be concentrating on 2.4 though and I want 400 000 hands over these two months, which is similar to the amount a lot of grinders do in a year, but I know I have the ethic and the ability to mass multi table in me.

After this I want to see where im at and start taking a few holidays, Tokyo is a must for me, its my number one place to be for the year, not least the japanese women are a factor. My roomy iRollDeep shares the same fetish so im guessing thats where we're headed around March time.

Come April the plan is for me, iRollDeep and Jamsym (going to link to his blog soon) to hit Vegas, ill also bring a few other friends for the first few weeks but us 3 want to stay as long as we can really. See how we do in the live games over there, hopefully ill be playing the $5/10+ games but depends where we all are bankroll wise. If im winning at a good rate that makes it worth staying I could stay for up to 3 months and I think thats gonna be pretty sweet, over the wsop as well and im defo entering some of them events.

We were supposed to go a few months earlier just for two weeks, but certain things come up and we never ended up going, so decided its best to wait for now, let us all grind hardcore for few months to put us in better shape for the trip.

After Vegas, and because I have no idea how ill do or how long ill be there I have no plans, let the year and my bankroll just take its course. Ill still play online in Vegas, just bring my lappy.

Vegas is just an idea for us to have an awesome time and grind out some poker months whilst were there, if im not making enough $$ that its holding me back with opportunity cost, I will cut it short. I can only see myself back playing online when I get back though for the remaining months of the year. Ive never stayed over a year at any level so hopefully im up somewhere near 200/400 by the end of the year and not 2c/4c :)

For now though, the next two months are grind grind grind online and ill be keeping regular updates. I will start on Monday the 5th and aim for 150k hands at least this month. gogogogogo
